Choosing board and designing for recycling

Fiber sourcing, recycled content and recyclability - three distinct considerations.

Recyclable stock in 2026

When choosing board, distinguish between fiber sourcing, recycled content and the ability to recycle the package after use. These are different properties; none alone proves the others.

The choice should suit product protection, the intended appearance and the relevant manufacturing and recycling processes.

Sustainability doesn't have to come at the cost of experience - the right stock looks and feels just as premium as conventional board.

01. Sustainability and environmental responsibility

We see sustainability as an integral part of our production process and our commitment to the environment. We work to reduce resource use and waste, and to select raw materials with environmental attributes, while maintaining product quality and meeting customer requirements. Through efficient production processes, thoughtful use of materials and encouragement of recycling, we aim to create quality packaging that combines performance, environmental responsibility and long-term thinking.

02. Consider the finish too

Varnish, foil, windows and adhesives form part of the finished package. Check how the combination affects recycling, using supplier specifications and the relevant collection system. A refined appearance can accompany responsible material choices, but a natural color or rough texture does not prove recycled content or recyclability.
